Blue Benders emerged from the vibrant blues scene in Stockholm’s Old Town, spending many nights at iconic venues like Stampen and S:ta Clara before officially forming in May 2021. Guitarists Edvin and Morris laid the foundation, joined by their friend Samson on vocals. With Oskar on drums and Johan on bass, the lineup was complete, creating a musical cocktail that reflects their diverse influences.
Curious about sounds beyond traditional blues, the band explores a genre-crossing blend of blues, rock, soul, and funk—always evolving and engaging. Following the release of their debut EP Strike One in fall 2023—celebrated with a sold-out show at in Stockholm—2024 brought standout performances at Stockholm Pride and Debaser Strand.
In 2025, leading up to their debut album release, the Blue Benders made several European debut shows and brought their electric sound and stage presence to the international stage creating memorable nights for crowds hearing them for the first time.
‚Do Not Apologize‘, the debut album from Blue Benders is a love letter to music itself and to the thrill of exploring new sounds. Branching out from what they already know and love, the band crafts ‚Do Not Apologize‘ (or D.N.A.) as a reflection of their shared and individual influences. The result is an engaging, dynamic listening experience that seamlessly blends rock, blues, soul, and pop. Fearless in their experimentation, Blue Benders mix and match genres to express the emotions they aim to convey. Beneath the album’s powerful sound lies raw vulnerability. Through themes of family, insecurity, mental health, love, and hate, Blue Benders reveal their truest selves - unguarded and honest.
