Jovin Webb

Jovin Webb

US | Blues, Soul

Born into the blues in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and shaped by gospel and Southern church culture, Jovin Webb built his voice the old-fashioned way - living the stories he sings.

He first broke onto the national stage on American Idol, where his show-stopping performances drew praise from Lionel Richie (“the sound of barbecue sauce”) and Luke Bryan, while Downbeat described his tone as “stained by nicotine and marinated in rye whiskey.”

Signed to the renowned Blind Pig Records, Webb made an immediate impact with his 2024 debut album Drifter - produced by multi-Grammy winner Tom Hambridge - prompting BET to declare that he is “bringing the blues to a new generation.”

He now follows up with Son of a Sinner, a raw, rock-infused sophomore effort recorded in Nashville that takes an unflinching look at temptation, faith, and redemption. Blues Blast noted that "Webb’s calling card is that special voice. It has the kind of grit, soul, spirit, and sadness of Gregg Allman, Otis Redding, Howlin' Wolf, and Joe Cocker," while Blues Music Magazine added, "It takes a special talent to project power, a raspy grit, and perfect pitch simultaneously, and Webb nails it."

An undeniable force of nature on stage, Webb transforms every venue he touches, bridging deep Southern blues traditions with a fierce, modern urgency that proves he is an artist on the rise and only getting started.
